Spring Conference Registration Information

Important information:  1-You must be a current member of ASAHPERD to attend the conference at the member rates (see payment schedule below). Nonmember registration rate is $180.00. Membership from other state HPERD/SHAPE associations will be honored. 2-If you miss preregistering by the April 1st deadline, you may pay the onsite registration fees (an increase of $20) upon arrival at the conference (see below).

There are 3 ways to preregister for the Spring Conference:

Option 1 - PAY ONLINE - click HERE and follow these steps:

  • Login if you are an existing user (i.e., an ASAHPERD member or you have created a profile as a PROSPECT).
  • If you are a new user, enter your email. This will create a profile and allow you to preregister. NOTE, if you plan to pay the member rate, be sure membership is current prior to registering for the conference.

Option 2 - SEND FORM AND PAYMENT VIA US MAIL - print the paper form (HERE) and mail along with your payment to ASAHPERD, PO Box 369, Arley, AL 35541. Postmark by April 1.

Option 3 - SUBMIT A PURCHASE ORDER VIA EMAIL - see PO policy and process below.

Purchase Order Policy:  IF YOU ARE SUBMITTING A PO TO ASAHPERD REQUESTING AN INVOICE, email the PO and preregistration form to [email protected] as soon as possible so that an invoice can be sent to your bookkeeper allowing enough time for a check to be sent to ASAHPERD by the preregistration deadline. Checks must be postmarked by the same deadline as other preregistration payments – April 1.  Purchase orders are not accepted at the conference.  

Preregistration Fees:
Professional – Current employment in HPERD, athletics, exercise, fitness or related area: $90
Paraprofessional – Paraprofessional (aide) in an Alabama school: $50
Undergraduate Student – Major in health, physical education, exercise science, fitness, etc.: $30
Graduate Student - Full time graduate student; not available to K-12 teachers also enrolled in a graduate program: $30
Retired – Full-time retired; individuals employed in k-12 settings should register as professionals: $50
 

Membership:  It is best to pay membership online. However, you may include membership payment with your preregistration by including the appropriate membership form available at www.asahperd.org – select the Membership tab, then Apply by Mail. Do not mail membership payments after April 1.  If you pay your membership fee online AFTER APRIL 1, be sure to bring verification of payment to the conference.

Membership Fees:

Professional – Current employment in HPERD, athletics, exercise, fitness or related area: $55
Paraprofessional – Paraprofessional in an Alabama school: $35
Undergraduate Student – Major in health, physical education, exercise science, fitness, etc.: $25
Graduate Student - Full time graduate student; not available to K-12 teachers also enrolled in a graduate program: $25
Retired – Full-time retired; individuals employed in k-12 settings should join as professionals: $35
 

Refunds:   All requests for a full refund (minus a 20% service fee) must be made no later than April 1. Requests between April 2 and April 10 will be refunded at 50%. No refunds will be granted after April 10 (exceptions may apply in cases of personal emergency). Contact Donna Hester ([email protected]).
